Wisma Bahasa organizes lunch party once a month to welcome new students, and to celebrate the birthday of the students, teachers, and staff.
There was something special in the feast on July 24, 2019. In addition, to celebrate the birthdays for those who were born in July, Wisma Bahasa also prepared tumpeng to celebrate its 37th birthday. Tumpeng is the cone-shaped yellow rice surrounded by assorted Indonesian side dishes of vegetables and meat, the cone-shaped tumpeng is a mystic symbol of mountain, and the side dishes and vegetables represent the life and harmony of nature.
Mas Agung was delegated to cut the tumpeng as a symbol of gratitude for Wisma Bahasa’s 37th birthday. The first tumpeng cut was given to Pak Pahing as the longest-serving employee at Wisma Bahasa. Then, the second cut was given to Yuriko Inada as the student who had studied in Wisma Bahasa for a year.
We would like to thank all those who have supported Wisma Bahasa for 37 years.
